House in Bryanston Johannesburg by Nico Van Der Meulen Architects

 

 

Located in Eccleston Rd, Bryanston, Johannesburg, South Africa and rested on a 4000 square meter ground, this 1400 square meter house was designed around three massive trees, one at the tennis court, and the other two on the east side of the house. The view from the hall towards the east is into one of these trees, framed by a large sliding window in the kitchen. Due to the slope of the stand, a large basement was designed on the lower side of the building to create a stepped effect on the stand. A bridge suspended by stainless steel cable span across the double volume spaces, with views to north, east and south, and a bridge across the atrium below connects a large balcony to the house. This modern house architecture with glass-dominated facade was designed by Wiel Arets Architects and is called H House. This modern glass residence was built on a plain residential area site in Maastricht, The Netherlands. The most eye-catching part of this house is of course its glass exterior which transforms it into a mirror for the surrounding natural landscape. The structure is supported by a few columns especially positioned in order to ensure stability. The interiors are wide and spacious dominated by the natural color of concrete with several splash of white. The floor to ceiling windows allow natural light to flood all throughout the house. The mammoth project is a collaboration between New York based Studio Dror, led by Dror Benshetrit, that has designed the residences, and the Paris-based firm AW2 are responsible for the design of the hotel.

The incredible multi-storey water villas alone will span 515 square meters each, and comprise three bedrooms, four bathrooms, a private rooftop garden with spa pool, private infinity pool, multiple decks, outdoor barbeque area, gourmet kitchen and concealed service quarters. As for the private Seaside residences (which are sure to be snapped up by Saudi Princes and oil sheiks because they will probably be the only ones who can afford them), the five-bedroom, six bathroom estates span between 3,000 and 6,050 square meters.

Each Seaside estate will include a private beach and garden, rooftop garden with spa pool, infinity swimming pool, indoor reflecting pools, concealed service quarters, entertainment patios, outdoor dining areas, chef and show kitchens, and outdoor showers.

The resort is due to open in 2010 and the prices for the residences start at €20 million.

Screen House by Randy Bens Architect

If you want to look for modern architecture which was reuse,renew, recycle and renovate. This architecture design home friendly called Screen House as renovate house to be modern home design. a family want to renew their home and than Randy Bens as popular architect was help them to realize their dream a family want to construct their home rich with mid-century Modernist architecture. And they also allow Bens to create an upper addition that would fill out the footprint of the existing house, but that was not his intention. Bens organized the addition piling up by creating new bulky volumes to be contingent itself on the existing structure, but added a double size in bottom to the living room, and created in top the platforms which would benefit from the sights.

 For ombrager the living room south-facing of double-size, the architect created a horizontal soiled structural timber screen and anodized aluminium for outside. Placed at the 90 degrees fish, the screen protects the entry against the rain and the sun, and adds a horizontal element to avoid the vertical nature of additional volume. The vertical siding of cedar, roofs gently inclined, exposed the stuck laminated beams and the roofs answer the esthetics of the houses close to post and beam of half of the century. To add a contemporary element, Bens installed zinc panels above and beside the existing openings of window, aligning them with new openings above.
