Figurines in colourful stones on the streets of MAHABALIPURAM

Mahabalipuram was a 7th century port city of the South Indian dynasty of the Pallavas around 60 km south from the city of Chennai in Tamil Nadu. It is believed to have been named after the Pallava king Mamalla. Read more here.
I found some lovely figurines in stone sold by some vendors on the streets of mahabalipuram. These can form a part of your south indian decor scheme. At very affordable prices, they are beautifully carved out in all kinds of stones (variuos colours). I also found out that there are some exclusive shops in Mahabalipuram where you could get made to order designs.
