Hi Mary, I love this. Great ideas on selecting paint colors. I always have a hard time with this. The kitchen and breakfast area looks very similar to my house. I was wondering if you had any good ideas for sliding glass doors that go out to a patio. I was thinking about changing the blinds to fabricated ones and then use a matching valance.

Kathy, I love your idea of fabricated blinds and a matching valance. The blinds will give you privacy when needed. I particularly like a product made by Hunter Douglas called the Duette Vertical Pleat Window System that opens to one side. The beauty of this product is that it has no cords, chains or wands giving it a clean look. You can also choose a valance which complements this treatment.
