It is important to design your office space so that it would be comfortable for all the workers and to encourage them to work attentively. There are many types of design layout available and you have to spend a considerable amount of time in planning, designing and decide on the best layout.

First thing first, you must have a structure layout for all the workstations. Make sure you allotted sufficient working area for them. Next, arrange all the stationeries, copiers, fax machines and others in a small room. All your documents and files must be kept in storage rooms and make sure you labeled them accordingly. Or else, it will be difficult for you to search back for old files. After that, plan for a strategic place in your office area for the meeting rooms and conference rooms so that they are located near to each other.

After you settled down with the structure layout, you must also plan for electrical sockets and supplies. Make sure that the office space is bright enough for the staffs to work and there are sufficient power-supplies provided. When talking about lighting, there are three types of lighting needed in an office which are ambient light, natural light and task light. You can actually design in such a way that early in the morning; the office is utilizing natural light from the sunlight to save on your monthly electricity bills. Other than that, also check on the telephone lines and fax machine lines. Ensure that all workstations are provided with their own phone lines.
